A must-see is Grosvenor Arch in the heart of the Grand Staircase National Monument near Kodachrome Basin. This Grand Double Arch is named in honor of the founder of the National Geographic Society. Kodachrome Basin is a spectacle of massive sandstone chimneys that change from soft grays to shades of red with the day's mood. Numerous rocks and coves offer solitude and habitation to the area's wildlife. This state park has a quiet and unique desert beauty.

Grand Staircase Escalante Nat'l Monument.
This popular southern Utah monument is a geologic sampler with a huge variety of formations, features, and world-class paleontological sites.

Zion National Park.
Utah's oldest national park is known for its incredible canyons, specifically The Narrows. This is a heavily used park by tourists from all over but definitely a must-see if you're in the area. Zion is a great day trip destination for the family being so close to our hotel.

Capitol Reef.
Characterized by its colorful sandstone formations, huge cliffs and beautiful canyons, this Utah national park has plenty to do and see.

Lake Powell.
One of the world's best house boating destinations offers sandy beaches, cool blue water, and exceptional red-rock scenery. This is a couple of hours from Grand Staircase but can be perfect for a day trip.
